Return to Cheerleading

Cheerleading is a sport that uses organised routines that range from 1 minute to 3 minutes made from elements of tumbling, dance, jumps, cheers, and stunting to direct spectators of events to cheer on sports teams at games and matches and/or compete at cheerleading competitions. Cheerleaders draw attention to the event and encourage audience participation. The athlete involved is called a cheerleader.

However, in Hampshire we are introducing it as a great way of keeping fit!  With simple routines being put together with elements of gymnastics and dance you don't have to have the best sense of rhythm or the ability to fling yourself over a beam, just a good sense of fun and the willingness to get fit and meet new people!
